From the supplier: The Market Conduct and Consumer Affairs Subcommittee of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) approved the Improper Termination Practices Model Act at its spring 1995 meeting; the model law will next be considered by the executive committee. The proposal would require insurers to notify homeowners 90 days before non-renewal of their insurance policy or for the non-renewal decision to be based on a set of justifiable reasons.
